Toning Workshop 
One Day Weekend Intensive Workshop

Various toning techniques and processes will be explored in this workshop.
We will cover various types of toning including Selenium, Bleaching, Thiocarbamide (Sepia), Blue Toner, & Split Toning.

Whether it be for archival permanence or for a colour effect, let your own creativity guide you by toning some of your own prints or provided fibre base photographs. Toning allows for great expression and flexibility.

One day. (9.00am to 4.00pm)
No. of students: Maximum of four
Price: $335.00. ( includes refreshments and photographic materials)
Deposit: $100.00. (balance two weeks before class)
Content:

Overview of the process.
Toners and their uses.
Associated chemistry used with the toning process.
Selecting images to tone.
Discussion of print technique adjustment for toning.

Evaluating the results.
Presentation of prints for viewing.

Prerequisite & What to bring:

Bring a selection of your own photographs.
A notebook is essential.

If you have wet darkroom printing experience then this would be helpful.



You will: Develop a basis for making correct judgement with regards to toning photographs.
Tone your own photographs amongst those provided.
Understand the processes of Toning.
Have the knowledge to do it yourself in future.
Follow-up classes: - Any of our Intermediate to Advanced Black & White courses / workshops.
